Start an #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge!

Max out on enough sleep, naps, healthy food, meditation, creative play, herb tea, visits with friends, fun, etc, not harmful overindulgences like junk food.

Spread the word, use the hashtag, let’s get ourselves and friends happily healthy.

———-
Can you indulge yourself a whole month? Try it, it’s like living in God’s lap!

Post here, on Twitter, and/or Facebook what way you will indulge yourself today.

Be my binge buddy. Each day for a month, I’ll post my self-care plan for the day, in a comment field below. Please post yours there too, every day, some days, or just one day, to support my binge in ways different than a post on Twitter and Facebook: What’s your self-care goal today?

Starting small today: Deep breaths when I feel overwhelmed at work, and allowing myself a few guilt-free minutes to gather my thoughts. #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge

  4. Kriss says:

Well… this morning after waking up, I perfomed the ”Honor candel ritual”….

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Oh, u just made my night. I am on my way to bed, and it is nice that the last thing I read is that you started yr day with a ritual I wrote. Thank you for telling me that!!

      • Kriss says:

Great! You know Francesca, I pratice Third Road rituals for 10 years now. I stopped and I came back to them and I stopped again. I wonder why I needed to work so hard finding the easy way. I tried so many ways, so many schools, but I always comme back to your teaching as it is the only one that leaves me perfectly free. I guess after doing the self-initiation rituel back in 2003 I have no choice: I am a Fey now. Love you!!! xxx

        • Francesca De Grandis says:

Kriss, oh, my, thank you so much for saying all that. I am thrilled! And delighted to have you as a fellow Third Road practioner (I still feel funny when I call myself that, bc I channeled the system, but i do practice it and feel like I need to say so, as a reminder to me to stay humble and not try to appear too good to practice what I channel, a reminder to be WITH my students as a fellow seeker, their peer instead of an oh-so-pompous fool.)

Moving on, it is funny yet sad how we humans do the hard way for the longest time.

Are you wanting a deeper level of the faerie spirit you resonated with in my book, those subtler lessons, which can’t be in a book? My published material portrays the tip of the iceberg of the tradition I channeled. You may want to tune in, to intuit the power of my oral transmissions (AKA classes). As hard as I work on my writing (I’ll spend a decade working on a book), I work harder on oral tradition.

My fellow fey seeker, my written and oral teachings come from the core of my fey-touched cells. If you relate to one, you might want the other.

Call if you have any questions about classes (being oral tradition, it is best discussed orally, lol). 814-337-2490. Blessings.

Today is the last day of my self-care binge. Or, at least, the last day of the OFFICIAL binge, but I think we should have self-care binges often, as part of our just regular activities. I think it is needed.

The last days of the binge I didn’t post, I was too busy taking care of me to have time to talk about it, lol.

Thank you, all my binge buddies, so much, you made such a difference for me in this experiment. Love you, keep binging on the good life instead of on self-destructive things. Blessings.

  6. Francesca De Grandis says:

My plan for self-care today: to remain in Divinity’s flow of love, service, and abundance.

  7. Francesca De Grandis says:

Lisa, for some reason, I cld not reply directly to yr latest comment. So I hope u see this. Thanks for kind words re the blog about sleep being the goddess’ embrace. It is funny to read yr post today, bc tonight I start a class in which I will b using that post. I can’t wait!

My self-care goal today is to not get sidetracked by a million little things that could eat up all my time, but to take care of the essentials so that I have time for self-love.

You keep on with yr sleep!

  8. Patricia Hunt Jacobs says:

I decided not to strain myself, after I sprained my wrist in concentrating more on what I was doing (pushing a jig saw) than whether I was hurting myself! Now, remembering to go into my body, I can relaxedly accomplish a task, and I’m there too–not grueling!

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Awesome decision, good for you! And I am sorry to hear you got injured. Thanks for posting to become my binge buddy!

  9. Lisa says:

Sleep sleep sleep. Tonight I have promised myself an early-night, a really early early-night so I can try for twelve hours sleep ( I know it won’t be sleep all the way through with a baby and toddler and weak-bladdered husband!).
I like the idea of filling up the sleep-bank, like a piggy bank.
    Sleep is the best medicine.
    x

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Thank you for being a binge buddy! Here is a blog called “Sleep Is the Goddess’ Embrace” that might help motivate you, bc it very much relates to yr remark about sleep being medicine.

My self-care plan today is to enjoy a day off! So when I am done eating lunch, I will take a nap!

Best of luck sleeping despite family, lol.

      Love!

      • Lisa says:

        Thanks Francesca for your reply.
I tried to find your suggested blog but ended up getting directed to a site for a ladies razor for embracing a goddess bikini – ha! ha!
Well, I did get a good sleep and what a difference as I was feeling a bit under the weather, almost back to normal now so going to try for another good sleep tonight to keep my levels topped up.
Hope you’ve had a good day (or are having one, we are on the other side of the world from each other so big time difference)
love from a sunny day in the UK xx

        • Francesca De Grandis says:

Oh, my goodness, a razor ad, how bizarre and funny! I see that I forgot to put the URL for the blog in my post to you, my bad: http://stardrenched.com/2013/03/11/sleep-is-the-goddesss-embrace/

Best of luck for another great night’s sleep.

TU for being my binge buddy again today!

          • Lisa says:

Oh those were lovely words and so true. Thank you.
Helped a friend today and neglected myself somewhat, but hey, I know she’d do it for me too.
So aiming for another early night to fix things.
Hope your world is soothing you today.

  10. Francesca De Grandis says:

My self-care plan today is to just keep at it! Not quit taking care of me!

Btw, I am finding it too hard to post my plan everyday and still, lol, have time to take care of me. But I can post most days. Onward!

  11. Francesca De Grandis says:

My plan for self-care for a few days was to take a few days off from posting my plans here, LOL. Now, my plan today is: I will let go of working too hard and, instead, take breaks, which will refresh me enough that I can get more done in less time.

  12. Francesca De Grandis says:

My plan for self-care today: I’ll release priorities created by fear, and indulge in priorities based in love, fun, and beauty. Post yr plan here, too.

  13. Francesca De Grandis says:

My plan today for an #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge : I will let go of worry, and indulge in constant trust of my Gods.

  14. Tangerine Toes says:

    Love it!

My self-care today is that I painted my toenails yesterday and am enjoying them every time I look down– I’m still joyously surprised that they are now tangerine!!

I’m also letting the feeling of sun, trees, birdsong, squirrels bustling, and cats relaxing soak into me every time I go outside.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Dear Ms. Tangerine Toes, I love you! And I love that yr toes keep surprising you. I really like your plan for today! I am sitting outside as I type, and it is a beautiful day. Part of my self-care plan for today: Though I will not bury my head in the sand about selfishness or other difficult stuff folks display, I will not obsess about it either, I will not let it pull me out of my gods’ flow of love and peace. I will remain in that flow even if I’m angry, until I feel and deal with my anger so that I can move on from it. I am in my gods’ care.

  15. Tho’ i am ate to the party, i still loving the dance! Yeah! My self care binge this week is daily NAPS!! yes, sacred dreamtime in the afternoon, and baths before bed. Yups, I plan on cuddling my inner toddler.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Awesome! Hi, Elizabeth, thank you so much for coming here and bringing your inner toddler with you. You made me happy.

  16. Francesca De Grandis says:

My plan for an #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge today will b the same as yesterday’s bc it worked so well: When I start binging work or worry, I will not decide that is an excuse to forsake my attempt at self-care, I will get back to my #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge soon as I can.

What is your plan today for a self-care binge?

  17. Brooke says:

I needed a few extra work hours but wound up going back to bed — after my toddler woke us up at 5:45AM — so, I’m going to accept that I need the sleep, hope to get the work done anyhow, and spend a carefree afternoon playing with my kid and husband. Also, lots of green tea and sunshine.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Yay for you! And thank you for being my binge buddy, bc you inspired me to get back to my self-care binge. I was getting way too busy busy busy today. So I am gonna go take my nap now. And take it in my yard, yum.

My plan for an #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge today: when I start binging at work or worry, I will not decide that is an excuse to forsake my attempt at self-care, I will get back to my #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge soon as I can.

  18. Francesca De Grandis says:

My #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge today: Take time for self care. Take time again. Take time again. And again… This is a plan, a goal, not a measure against which to beat myself up if I do not achieve it. So instead of perfectionism, I will acknowledge the self-care I do give myself.

  19. Julie N. says:

    Love this…today I chose to Be.In.My.Body. and breathe….

  20. Francesca De Grandis says:

Hey, everyone posting on twitter and Facebook about this binge, thanks again.

  21. Francesca De Grandis says:

Today, self-care will be a priority. The result will be that I will not end up needing to rush to fit it in, nor will i finish my day realizing not enough self-care happened.

  22. ellen says:

I love what you just said about the World Tree 🙂

I am on a binge of clearing out old material plane items that no longer serve me and am taking them to Goodwill. I will continue this today 🙂

I will liberally sprinkle these productive bursts of activity with time outside in the warm sunshine of my yard quietly visiting with the outdoors 🙂 … or maybe NOT quietly! lol! Perhaps I will SING and DANCE to the trees instead 😉

I will prepare a yummy, healthy batch of tofu salad to nourish my body today, accompanied by some fabulous whole wheat crackers 🙂

    Blessed Be <3

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Yay, you got a great binge planned!! Thank you for being my binge buddy today, and for yr kind words re my comment!

  23. Francesca De Grandis says:

Today, I will try to make a state of relaxation my default and my go-to. If I feel troubled or anxious, I won’t plow through it but be with it, even if I’m continuing my work day. I’ll welcome that troubled part of me into my heart, so that the whole of me can be loved and nurtured by both Mother Earth and myself. I will live my day sitting in the lap of God(dess). I will live the day curled up safe in branches of the World Tree. It will be a productive day, because hanging out with Divinity is not only relaxing, nourishing self-care, it is also a way to get a lot done.

  24. Francesca De Grandis says:

My self-care goal today: not worrying about what I should get done next and, instead, taking a deep breath, and then becoming self-aware to learn what I feel like doing next.

  25. Francesca De Grandis says:

I choose to indulge in anticipating positive outcome instead of in worrying. I am on an #IndulgeInSelfCareBinge
