Magic Poetry

I am thrilled to announce a new weekly service:

Fairy Witch Poetry

Receive an Original Magic Poem
Every Week for $13 a Month.

Each week, star-filled words will enchant your life and give you a spiritual boost.

Poems, Magic, and Goddess Spirituality

Poems Are Magic

My poems are not indecipherable hot air. They are Fairy Witchcraft. They are down-to-earth practical magic. They are lyrical mysticism that brings joy and laughter. They are:
* Affirmations
* Magical spells for spiritual and worldly power. For example, money, soul-healing, creativity, success, and self-love
* Pagan prayers
* Fey liturgy
* Invocations
* Fairy tales
* Personal realizations I experience as a Fairy Shaman
* And other glittery mojo.

Poems to Enchant Your Whole Life

One of my goals when writing a poem is that your simply reading it helps the Fairy Queen accompany you on your path. She wants to walk next to you every step of your day, giving you Her love and power.

What Inspires Poems?

Speaking only for myself:

My Goddess is my Muse. Her presence evokes phrases that transmit strong mojo. For example, Her heartbeat became the rhythm of a poem that is a spell for peace.

She helps me find words to reflect my life as a Fairy devoted to practical magic, lyrical mysticism, and service. For example, She inspires phrases that convey the loving care the old Fairy Gods give me. Those poems often express my love for the Gods.

She enjoys a good time, so does not turn up Her nose at a fun poem. She is no dour judgmental deity. After all, She is a Pagan God, reveling in pleasure and laughter. She expresses Her sense of humor in my poems, whether as an outright joke or a sly, tongue-in-cheek remark.

Why I Am Offering a Weekly Magic Poem

Decades Prove My Poems Provide Many Benefits

Recently, I was brainstorming about how to be of maximum service. Wondering how my skill sets can provide you with as much support as possible, I received a phone call from one of my initiates, Jenelle Campion. She said, “Why don’t you sell your poems, sending out one a week at a low cost?”

I long to support you as much as possible. So Jenelle’s suggestion made me happy.

For decades, I’ve seen how much the poems’ magic empowers people. For example, some of my poems are in the Fairy Witch class curriculums I teach, e.g. as liturgies. Those classes help participants create miracles for themselves and others.

Another example: My poems also appear in my books. The poems helped my texts Be a Goddess! and Goddess Initiation become best-sellers. Lovely readers confirm how much those books help them.

I have written other magical poems that no one—or only a few individuals —have read or heard. Sharing Shamanic poetry with one or two people can be perfect. Further sharing of poems meant solely for such times would betray my Gods and my gift as a magical poet. However, there are yet other poems that no one—or almost no one—except me know. Those can be shared publicly. I want to do that because it would be a perfect powerful gift to a reader.

There are also poems that I’ve shared a fair amount but would still like more people to experience. Or that I want to present with new artwork that adds even more magic. I am an unapologetic Pagan who wants as much magic in the world as possible.

Here is another reason I loved Jenelle’s suggestion. Weekly poems provide you with a lot of support without costing you a lot of money or effort.

So I am offering you Fairy Witch Poetry: Old poems and new, a curated selection of glittery Fey energy that I know supports you to live how you want every week.

There is yet another reason I want to send you poems:

Down-to-Earth Magic Poetry Helps Free Us from Oppression

Poetry once belonged to everyone. It hurts my heart that “respectable” poetry started. It is obscure and indecipherable, as if that proves a poem is deep and important. This terrible cop-out by writers makes people think they can’t understand poetry, and that it has no relevance to them. So they turn away from it.

Pop song lyrics that make sense and set our spirits free are scorned by oppressors as low-brow. No!

I am dedicated to crafting poems that are as embracing and uplifting as pop songs.

Oppressive instructors insist we have to analyze every word of a poem, endlessly until our teeth hurt and words lose their life. This too turns people away from poems.

With my poems, you can forgo that painful analysis and let the words’ cadence, implications, and feelings simply be. Think of how children chant nursery rhymes. They do it gleefully, without worrying about the chant’s meaning. Chanting is a chance for the children to drink in the wonder and power of life itself. I work hard to write poems that draw the same wonder and power, poems you can chant with childlike effortlessness.

Oppressors robbed us, by changing poetry into something vague and alien, because down-to-earth lyricism helps dismantle oppression and free us from it. Think of how a chant at a demonstration can rally people’s spirits. A perfect poem! I strive to write poems as powerful as that.

Poets earning money with practical magical word-smithing is revolutionary. When magic and poetry are financially respected as much as advertising text is, we are on the way home. For one thing, buying healthy phrases is a happiness and prosperity spell for the buyer. … Filling the world with magic words is an antidote for almost everything.

So mote it be!

How To Use Poems as Magic

Here are four ways. Take them as suggestions.

1) You don’t always have to cast a spell. Reading one of my witchy poems is enough for its words to wrap love around you. Even if you don’t notice it right then, love from the Fairy Queen casts a spell to help you with whatever you need. Don’t put pressure on yourself about a right way to read. Simply read.

2) You can use the poems more actively, for example, reciting one as an affirmation to boost your power, confidence, joy, or other traits you want.

3) Let yourself absorb the poem. This helps its magic enchant your cells and life. Here’s how: Read one line a few times before moving on to the next. Or read one line and no more until you feel like it. This is different from the endless painful analysis that some teachers inflict. Here is the difference:

This is an oversimplified explanation, but it will do for our purposes. I often boil a lot of my ideas and experiences down into a single sentence. After reading that sentence, you might need time to absorb it. Absorption is not analysis. Absorption can happen when you relax and read the same line a few times, without putting pressure on yourself. Or when you read one line and then go about your day. In both cases, you’re giving your subconscious and cells a chance to absorb what I said. And an enjoyable useful analysis or empowering feeling might pop up. Please note that the magic might be doing its work without you realizing it for a while.

Even if you only ever read and absorb one packed line and forsake the rest of the poem, the absorption might do a lot for you.

When packed lines follow each other, reading them quickly, worriedly, without pausing might turn them into boring gibberish.

4) Say the poem aloud without concern about a so-called “proper recitation.” Simply saying it aloud gives you a childlike chance to notice its rhythm, intentional repetition, and other sensual delights. Pleasure helps magic come alive. If you find yourself getting into the rhythm, etc., as you speak, lovely, but don’t try to force it.

The Four Nuts ‘n’ Bolts
of Receiving Enchanted Poems

1) Receive your weekly poem by email.

This puts the poems in your possession so you have them forever, instead of needing to go to a site whenever you want to read one.

2) Enjoy a media mix.

I want this to be as fun and powerful as possible. So, the weekly poem might be a PDF, video, or audio recording.

A PDF’s text will almost always be ornamented by my original Shamanic art to add blessings. PDFs will include higher-quality images than I can put on this website. Crisp, clear, complex graphics can be used.

An example of a video would be my recitation of a poem, accompanied by an animation I drew.

Either a poem will be attached to the email, or the email will have a link for you to download the poem.

Video and audio files can be too big to attach to an email. So I’d email you a link to download them. The link will work for two weeks.

3) Pay securely with PayPal: Click the Subscribe button below.

A Poem about My Poetry and Everything Else

Everything Is Everything

All poems are magic.

I am a poem.

Everything is magic.

Each of these sentences contains everything.

The Mother Goddess is everything.

Each thing is every thing.

Magic is Her living presence, Her love of me,

and Her care of me

in everything.

Her magic makes miracles for me every day.

Love is every thing.

  1. DENYSE VAN LEUVEN says:

    I love your poetry and artwork so much Francesca. I feel magickal just being around you. Thank you for all you do!

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

      Denyse, you are so kind, thank you very very much for your comment. I love being around you too.

  2. Trish D. says:

    Thank you so much for offering this service, Francesca, and thank you to your friend, Jenelle, for giving you the nudge. I adore my first poem. I consider this self-care as your work is so inspiring.
    Many blessings to you.

  3. Ray says:

    It’s perfect. I need the constant sprinkle of fairy dust. I need a collection of poems, spells etc. handy.

    I actually considered going through all your books and writing all poems, spells and rituals in a small book to have them at hand like a prayer book. I think I did for two books and then the project became too time-consuming. This would be a perfect substitute! I could collect all poems and then print&bind them for my personal use.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

      Ray, you make my day! Thank you for your encouraging note and understanding the merits of my poems! Mind you, the poetry service won’t provide all my poems, not by any means, because I do not want to just repeat myself. But it will provide a lot of poetry, both old and new! Yay!

  4. Robyn says:

    Amazing! I’m in. Thank you, Jenelle, for the idea and Francesca for making it real! A hug to both of you 🙂

  5. A great offering, Lady! I hope others see this for the gift that it is. Sharing.
