No Lore Portrays Robin Hood as a Writer
but He Helps Me Both Live Free and Write Freely
Lore does not suggest that Robin Hood was a writer. So let me explain why I know:
1) He can write.
2) Lore about him can help us write in this twelve-week course.
As the lessons will explain more thoroughly, Robin is the wild green God, also known as the Green Man of the Forest. The course will reveal many of the powers He has to help us. For now:
He and the Goddess created all of life. To create all things, they had to be within Him, including creativity as a writer.
He is a God Who gives us magic that frees us to live happily and write happily. He is a God Who empowers us to live in freedom and write with freedom. And this course will help Him do all of this for you.
An Overview of the Lessons in
Robin Hood: Rebel, Joyful Pagan, and …Writer
The class draws on the folktales of Robin Hood in many ways. For example, Robin Hood’s lust for life and playful nature will make the twelve lessons upbeat. We will draw on his mischievousness as a force for inner change and a way to overcome writing blocks.
The Robin Hood stories will take us on a mythic journey in which you:
* Discover rich mystical underpinnings of the Robin Hood legend and use them to live the way you want, change the status quo, and write candidly about anything.
* Learn from Robin’s tomfoolery and wildness, to liberate your creative process in both living and writing.
* Use Shamanic wisdoms to overcome writer’s block and fears. You will learn experientially in this course, by journeying in myth. This way, we can actually live the wisdoms of Robin Hood lore because they will not only be in our minds, but also in our cells.
* Act more boldly in your own unique way—like the mythic outlaw himself. And write more boldly!
This class is suited to all levels of writing experience and lack thereof.
Whatever you write, and whatever your reason for writing it, the course help you. The curriculum adapts to anything from novels that are published to a journal that no one except you sees.
An Outlier’s Joy Is a Rebellion that Heals Society
The tales of Robin Hood are some of my favorite folk lore. This course is really going to get into it.
I channeled an interpretation of Robin Hood stories. That is how I discovered many of the Robin Hood legend’s mystical underpinnings. They are a cornerstone of the classes’ theories (Shamanic wisdoms) and ritual techniques.
I view Robin Hood as the Green Man in His aspect of outlier and outlaw. Here is how that relates to making a difference in the world:
In this course, we focus on joy and creativity rather than directly fighting the status quo.
Joy is political. Self-care is resistance. Writing as you want on any topic is resistance.
Yes, fighting oppression is imperative. But fighting is not enough. We also must create a new world and not wait until the fight is over. Otherwise, we will always be in the fight. And we cannot build a new society without embodying it. The means is the end.
This is why an outlier, who lives their life in as much freedom and joy as they can muster, will change society in ways a large movement cannot.
So the course helps you embody the world you want—helps us thrive joyously, like Robin’s Hood’s band of merry rebels. This course’s mystic journey experientially dives into joy as rebellion.
Why this Robin Hood Course Combines Writing and Living Happily
Because creativity, happiness, and our daily life are inextricably woven together. Or that is how life is when oppressors don’t interfere.
But they insist that artists are a special class of people and that art has nothing to do with everyday mundane activities. It is a lie and the exact opposite of reality.
Oppressors insist that great artists must suffer in constant misery—another lie. Drummed into us from birth, it is meant to alienate us from the imagination and originality we are born with. Allowed to flourish, that creativity fosters happiness. An oppressive society requires docility and obedience, which happiness and creativity won’t allow.
The lies have numerous other implications that can bind a wild heart.
This course helps us break the bonds. You will experience:
* What frees you as an artist also frees you as a human being, and vice versa.
* Art and life go hand-in-hand.
* Everyone has immense creativity.
* Yours can help you find joy in everything around you, figure out what you need to do to live free, and discover how to serve others.

Feedback
A lot of melody just comes to me but I hated the lyrics I wrote, so stopped trying. After three weeks of using Francesca’s material, two whole songs just came to me. I’m writing!—Bob W, producer, songwriter
Francesca De Grandis is a writer’s best friend. The best writing lesson I’ve ever had, and, because of her guidance, my project was then picked up by a top literary agent.—Phoebe Wray, author of Jemma7729
I owe much thanks to Francesca. I’m finally published!

I think I only taught this once, twenty years ago. I never expected to teach it again. But Robin’s wild heart calls. I can’t resist joining His band of merry outlaws in the forest. We will live fully, make a difference, and write tales. Join me.
