Through the Wardrobe into Narnia:
A Fairy Ritual

with Francesca De Grandis, Fairy Witch elder
and best-selling author of Be a Goddess!

I adore children’s books about magical adventures. They make me happy because they portray the impossible come true. Go through the doorway into Narnia with me. We will experience:

An impossible magical realm, with all its joy and wonders. Your wild heart finds freedom in Narnia. It is an enchanted realm where we can quest for delight and power.

An impossible improvement on the mundane plane. Children’s books often portray a change that occurs after a magical adventure. The impossible becomes possible.

We can build our worldly, spiritual, and magical power in Narnia.

Through the Wardrobe into Narnia is a two-part ritual:

We will meet on June 29 and July 6—consecutive Sundays—
from noon to 1:00 Pacific Time.

Reserve the same time on Sunday July 13
in case an emergency keeps me from one of the planned meetings.

Enrollment ends Midnight June 25.

If you’re new to my work:
*I usually use the words ritual, spell, ceremony, meditation, and the like synonymously because they are usually synonymous in my Fairy Witchcraft.
* I tend to use different spellings of Fairy (Faerie, Faery, …) as synonymous.

The Portal to Narnia Appeared in November

When I moved to Reno in November, my new apartment had no closet. I did my usual scavenging magic and procured a wardrobe at very little cost.

Then, more magic happened. When the wardrobe was delivered, I sat in awe and wonder. I had a portal to Narnia.

As many magical tales teach us, you never know where and when portals to wonderlands might appear.

Here is a photo of it, in all its authority and gravitas. A room full of moving boxes and relocation chaos, a day or so after I arrived in Reno, could not hide a magic portal:

In many stories, a child gets older, and magic no longer works because they have stopped believing in it.

But some of us remain children at heart and still believe. I decided to lead a ritual into Narnia to explore its gifts for us. I started preparing the rite.

Surrounded by stacks of boxes, half-unpacked piles, and possessions strewn all over, the wardrobe nonetheless called me. I longed to open its door and discover that it is the entrance to Narnia. Soon.

I immediately thought my new clothes cupboard was gorgeous. I adore it. Except the brass bothered me. Badly. Its color evoked a stifling energy that had surrounded me as a child.

Liberating suppressed children is a common theme in fairytales and other magical stories.

A friend suggested Rub ‘n Buff as an easy way to permanently change the brass’s color.

Yes, then the magic portal would be perfect.

Changing the brass’s color banished the stifling energy left over from my youth. Suppress a child, and you foster doubt that magic is real. Adding a brighter color to the metal affirmed magic’s existence.

The gorgeous gold tone also celebrated the power of Narnia’s enchantments: In our two-part ritual, Narnia will introduce us to wonders. They will delight our wild, childlike spirits. The freedom to soar!

I used the gold color mostly on the raised surfaces, to create a contrast with the darker recessed areas. This made the brass’s gorgeous designs pop. The change is subtle. The photo below was taken after I touched up the brass on the left only. The subtle beauty of the brass’s patterns is highlighted.

Here, both sides are finished:

Then I did the same to the keyhole. Below is the before picture. The wood still looks rough, but I worked on the brass first.

Isn’t it a perfect keyhole for a door into a magical realm?

Writing this post about the upcoming ritual is pure fun. The ritual will be pure fun. And pure magic. And an effective spell to achieve a major goal of your choice. More about achieving that goal is below.

Here is all the brass made pretty (and the wood still rough).

The next photo shows the wardrobe after a few polishings of the wood. It needs one more polish, but look! Such gravitas!

Fairies moved into the clothes cupboard because they appreciated my work on it. So they blessed the upcoming rite.

I’ve always wanted to visit Narnia. Now the portal is ready, even if I don’t polish the wood again until after the rite. You see, I make my furniture polish. It is a wood treatment oil that does fabulous things for wood, including bless it. But I don’t have enough left for another polish of this big cupboard. And the treatment oil takes time to make, what with its herbs and all.

Though the clothes cupboard is clearly enchanted, I added one more magic to prepare for entering Narnia.

I added three tassels that I made quite a while ago. I spun the tassels’ cord from wool and other fibers. Spinning fiber into cord invokes the Goddess’ magic of creation.

The green tassel on the left has three rows of pearls near its top. The Snow Queen of Narnia likes pearls. Except when I visit Narnia, She will not be C.S. Lewis’s cruel despot. I have known another Snow Queen for decades. She will kindly walk beside me in Narnia and bless me with power. I hope you go through the portal with me. She wants to walk beside and bless you.

More About the Magic in Our Narnia Adventure

1) The Ritual Is a Fairy Magic Spell for Success

Each participant chooses a goal for the spell. For example, physical health, money, soul-healing, creative fulfillment, business success, love, serenity, self-love.

You don’t have to choose your goal before we meet for the ritual. And then, if you’re unsure of your goal, I’ll help you choose one.

Sometimes we only learn what we need when we risk embarking on a quest.

2) The Adventure Is a Ceremony
to Conquer Inner and Outer Limits

I wouldn’t promise that two hours of ritual can remove every block. That claim would not be ethical.

I can promise an effective ceremony. It can help you make important headway so you

* Find significant freedom from the external limits that society imposes on us.

* Make wonderful progress with inner blocks. Like immobilizing fear. Or self-defeating beliefs like “The life I want is unrealistic.” Or “My challenges are too big to overcome.”

3) It’s a Spell for Magical and Worldly Power

The ritual will help you recognize and use your material and mystical powers to create the life you want.

Magical power is abundant in Narnia. Magic is your heritage as a child of Fey Gods. But our society tries to crush your magic so that you can be controlled. Children in Narnia find their magic. So will the child in each of us.

Worldly power: When children in a book or movie have a magical adventure, they return to the mundane world changed. Often their otherworldly experience gives them the power to overcome mundane challenges. For example, Sam—a hobbit in the Lord of the Rings movies— was too shy to court the woman of his dreams. After he returned from his quest, he married her.

The price is good because three Master-of-the Arts magics help your Narnia quest succeed:

1) Faerie Oral Tradition Magic

We will work in an oral tradition that helps immense headway happen quickly.

Faerie oral tradition requires a small group. Enrollment is limited to sixteen people.

I use my master-level Witchcraft techniques to create ceremonies that are safe and effective for beginners and substantive enough for adepts.

2) An Extra Spell For Your Success

While I guide you in the ritual, additional magic will simmer in my cauldron. It is a spell that blesses your efforts to improve your life—including efforts made in the weeks after the ritual.

The cauldron spell also adds good luck to your daily life, even after our two weeks end.

3) A Narnia Talisman

My painting of a wardrobe at the top of this post cannot be reproduced well on this site. I will email you a beautiful digital copy. In our first meeting, you receive instructions on how to use the magic art during the meeting as a talisman to bless your otherworldly adventure.

I will also teach you another one of the talisman’s power, which you can use after our quest ends.

The Faerie oral tradition, cauldron spell, and witch art talisman are each powerful on their own. Together, they make a whole greater than its parts.

Below is a snapshot taken a few weeks after moving. Though the apartment is far from unpacked, the doorway to Narnia looms, important and inviting.

Note the two antique wicker suitcases on top of the clothes cupboard. I picked them up at a garage sale decades ago. Now I know why: The wardrobe fairies filled them with magic that will help me guide our quest.

I took another snapshot around the same time to show someone my new orchid plant.

The snapshot happens to show the portal.
It grabs attention.
It stands ready to open into Narnia.
I’m ready to walk through it with you,
as your Shamanic guide and fellow traveler.
So mote it be!
